Moving, Cancer, Joe Biden & My Guy

I had a hard time coming up with a title for this post. I've got so many thoughts in so many different directions! So here goes.

Moving

As of last night 33 boxes are packed/labeled and ready to go. 2 carloads of things have been brought to Grand Rapids. A coffee table and end table have been sold and picked up by the buyer. Address changes on all the things is happening. Holes where pictures used to be are filled and waiting for touch up paint. 10 days to go until the moving truck pulls up. I feel good about how we are doing, I hope my bubble doesn't get burst.

Cancer

I have seen oncology, cancer breast surgeon, and cardiology so far. Next week is radiology and plastic surgeon. Everyone is on the same page that it is ok to move, get settled (a few weeks)and schedule an MRI in Grand Rapids to see what is going on in both breasts. Praying for good news but truthfully not worrying about it. I will deal with the results when I get them. I have leads on some good doctors in Grand Rapids and will start making appointments as soon as we move. I feel good and my recovery from surgery is going great. I can sleep in my favorite positions again!

Joe Biden and my Guy

Joe Biden is 81 years old and my guy is going to be 83 this month. As Joe was having a disappointing debate performance, my guy was dealing with his own disappointment. Don and

I each drove a car to Grand Rapids with a load of stuff for the move. I went a few days earlier than Don. When Don was almost to the GR condo he had an accident. He missed a turn and was trying to cut through a gas station when he hit a cement post. He was not hurt except his

ego. The car has cosmetic damage to the front. When Don told me about the accident he handed me his license. This is the second fender bender he has been in and he feels it is time to stop driving especially in new surroundings like GR. I was sad for him but also very proud of him for being proactive and not waiting until he has a more serious accident. I can only imagine how hard this is for someone who spent his career cruising the streets in a police car. I can't help but feel for Joe also. I have no idea if Joe is up for the job but I do hope he is as honest with

himself as Don was about driving. I hope Joe does what is best for himself and the country. And Yes I did donate $10 to the Biden campaign for a chance to to go to Rehoboth Beach, DE so Don and I could have ice cream with Joe and Jill. We have many things in common and much to talk about!

ENTER TO SPEND A BEACH DAY WITH THE BIDENS! Sorry the contest is finished and we are going to win anyway. Don't worry I will post about it!
